We pride ourselves at being reactive to requests from our clients - so when a potential client asked ScotAi to achieve 'Cyber Essentials Plus' certification we set to it - and achieved it within 5 days.
Cyber Essentials is a UK Government-backed scheme that sets out the core security controls every organisation should have in place to protect against the most common cyber threats, such as phishing, malware and password attacks. The standard 'Cyber Essentials' level is a self-assessment, but Cyber Essentials Plus is more rigorous: an independent, accredited assessor tests systems directly.
In ScotAi's case that included vulnerability scans, checks on our external network, and simulated attacks on our live computers and devices to confirm that our defences work in practice, not just on paper. To pass, there can be no critical gaps. To achieve it in 5 days was exceptional.
For the industries we work with, where data security and compliance really matter, we see this as an important assurance that the information our clients trust us with is properly protected.
