ScotAi has been hiring recently - and i was just reflecting on our experience of interviewing over the last couple of weeks.
One of the stand-out moments was when Nick and I were in a Teams call, waiting for the candidate to turn up. The candidate's CV was impressive, and they were down to the last three being interviewed...
and then their AI note-taker tried to join the call, even before the candidate did....
Now - I don't have a problem with the idea of AI note-takers, i can see how they could add efficiency. But what worries me is, if i don't know what they do with my data, how can i trust it? This might sound ironic given that we run an AI business - but that's why it matters so much. We work in critical sectors, and ScotAi is founded on the absolute principles of Trust, Accuracy, Client Data Security and Client Data Sovereignty.
As soon as that note taker popped up, we dismissed it - but the atmosphere had changed, and we knew, even before the candidate joined the call, that they weren't for us...
So my advice? If you're 'Open To Work', don't be tempted to use an AI note taker. Not even for a second.
Oh - and do some research into the company you're interviewing at (I can’t believe I’m having to write this) - it's incredible how many candidates don't!
